THE WELL
MM Community Relief Fund

Life can hit quietly or all at once.
Birth.
Death.
Rebirth.
Or simply the weight of everything stacking up can feel like too much to bear alone.

Over the years, we’ve walked alongside women facing thresholds that crack open the heart, and I’ve often felt the ache of wishing there were more tangible ways to hold each other through these moments.

The Community Relief Fund is our response.
A collective well of care that builds slowly and steadily, so that when someone in our community is struggling, whether with sudden grief or life’s relentless heaviness, we have resources ready to soften the edges.

When you contribute, you become a Keeper of the Well, one of many tending this reservoir of love. Together, we ensure it never runs dry.

How We Fill the Well

1 / Small Donations

You will begin to see options to add $5 to the fund at checkout on the MM site for products, services, or events.

2 / Royalties & Experiences

A percentage of MM book royalties and Mermaid Movement Experience drop ins will flow directly into the Well.

3 / Collaborations & Fundraisers

Pop-up classes and collaborations will be hosted to fundraise and fill it further.

Every contribution, no matter how small, is a seed planted.

Together, they grow into something we can draw from when one of us is cracked open, or simply carrying more than we can bear alone.

This is not charity. It is community care. It is remembering that we belong to one another.

Stewardship and Transparency

The Community Relief Fund is a living well of care, built by our community for our community. Those who contribute are honored as Keepers of the Well, tending this reservoir of support so it is always available when someone is navigating life’s heaviest moments.

We believe in transparency and will share quarterly updates on the growth of the fund, celebrating together the ways your contributions make a difference. When the fund is used, we will provide general updates on its impact while respecting the privacy of those receiving support. For example, you might see a note like: “This season, we were able to support a sister navigating a breast cancer diagnosis. Your contributions make this possible.”
